It is a day that medical students will never forget and for the first time in four years Oakland University students will be doing it in person. Today, graduating medical students will find out where they will be fulfilling their residency requirements during a Match Day event at the Oakland Center Ballroom. The Match Day process concludes the application process where students rank the hospitals and medical facilities where they prefer to continue their postgraduate medical training. Last year 121 medical students from the Oakland University William Beaumont School of Medicine matched in 22 different states; 34 stayed in Michigan.
