WXYZ A group called Grand New Party based in Grand Rapids travelled to Royal Oak to protest Drag Queen Story Time at a local book store. Then By Sarah Michals , Chad Britton ROYAL OAK, Michigan ( WXYZ ) — Sirinity Sapphiree is one of the three drag queens who read to children Saturday afternoon at Sidetrack Bookshop in Downtown Royal Oak. She told me when she arrived downtown, 'I pulled up in the garage, and I had five escorts.' Emotions were high as earlier in the week a group called Grand New Party based in Grand Rapids posted that they planned to travel to the book shop to protest the Drag Queen Story Time.
