SOUTH HAVEN, MI -- Looking for a non-motorized, scenic route to South Haven's beaches? Kal-Haven is the trail to take. The 33.9-mile trail connecting Kalamazoo to the Lake Michigan shoreline wanders past West Michigan landmarks and can be traveled by bike or foot. While the trail doesn't take you all the way to South Haven's beaches, there are five public access points on North Shore Drive within a 30-minute walk or 10-minute bike ride of the trailhead. All of the beaches are connected. 1. Dyckman Street You'll find the Dyckman Street Beach Access Point on Dyckman Avenue.
